Michael Jordan, the inspiration of the Air Jordan

The greatest basketball player of all time, and then we're not talking about his length. Jordan is rightly called the GOAT (Greatest Of All Times) in the field of basketball. Almost all records in the sport are named after him. During his years at college he played for the team of his school where he recorded his first successes. But just before the final year of university he decided to quit school to make himself available for the so-called NBA Draft in 1984. During this draft, the NBA selects the players for the next season from new basketball talent. Mostly from college basketball teams but nowadays also from abroad.
The Chicago Bulls chose Jordan for their team. But even before joining the NBA, Jordan competed at the 1984 Olympics in Los Angeles. With team U.S.A. he won the gold with which he started his sports career well and showed what he was capable of on the field. 21 years old and scored in his rookie year point after point. This brought him his first major award in the NBA, the Rookie of the Year award. But this was only the beginning for Jordan. In the following season he became the top scorer of the NBA. The following years with the Chicago Bulls were Jordan's top seasons with 5 NBA titles in 8 years.
In one of the final matches came the well-known move of Jordan which you nowadays also see as a logo on the sneakers. During an attack, he walked through the middle of the field, received the ball from a fellow player and went up for a one-handed dunk. But in his eye, he saw an opponent's defence strike to stop his movement and in the air he changed his hand and threw the ball through the left side of the board into the net.
